Besides transferring files to and from your phone, it can install important applications, synchronize or back up your files and much more.

The software comes from Nokia and it is free. You can use it on 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 and you will need at least 300 MB of free disk space. The installation process is straightforward. Once it is complete, the setup wizard will help you connect your phone immediately.

The compact interface has a sleek and modern design. The available features are represented by large, colored icons and connecting a phone to your PC requires a single click. If you connect different Nokia phones, the software will save those connections. This allows you to select one phone or another, from a drop menu, without going through the connection settings a second time. You should also know that Nokia PC Suite is capable of working with direct cable connections, infrared and Bluetooth.

Nokia PC Suite places various controls at your disposal. You can back up any data from your phone as a file on your computer, synchronize contacts, calendar items and more with MS Outlook and other applications, create and send text or multimedia messages, transfer video files from the hard drive to your phone or vice versa and much more. The software can also check for the latest software updates and install them if it finds anything. Other features allow you to install Java and Symbian SIS on your mobile phone or download maps for the Nokia maps application.

If you are using a laptop, in a place without Wi-fi, Nokia PC Suite allows you to use your phone as a modem, to connect your computer to the Internet. Regardless of what action you wish to perform, you just need to click one of the icons from the main interface. The icons will bring up various options, on separate windows. In some cases, a wizard will guide you with step by step instructions.
